Should I or shouldn't I give my fiancee a heads up that I'll be using my new impact wrench?

I picked up a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! at Harbor Freight for 40 bucks! I already had a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but this will make zipping lug bolts off my car a breeze. My fiancee knows I’m swapping my wheels tomorrow or the next day, but I haven’t told her about the impact wrench yet.

On the one hand, I could tell her something like, “hey if you hear a loud noise coming from the garage, that’s just my new impact wrench, don’t worry.”

On the other hand, I could tell her “hey I’m going to change my wheels,” not mention the impact wrench, and wait for her to come down to the garage wondering the hell is going on with the crazy noises I’m making.

I don’t think I should get in too much trouble for taking the messing-with-her path, but then again, maybe I shouldn’t go looking for ways to mess with her for my own amusement?

Mess with her by all means, but as someone who spent the first several years of their relationship messing with his wife for shits and giggles, be prepared that it comes full circle.

I think you’re over thinking this.

Tell her you’re changing the wheels, leave it at that. A lot of people experience the classic noise of an air impact gun with changing wheels, so I doubt she will care if she hears something similar.

She’s generally sensitive to loud noises. She also surprises easily. Sometimes she’ll be upstairs in our bedroom, I’ll walk up the stairs to say something to her, and she doesn’t hear me coming then gets real surprised when all of a sudden here I am talking to her. “You walk so quietly!”

It’s at the point where if I’m planning to walk up the stairs, but then I notice she’s in the bathroom at the top of the stairs, I stay downstairs until she gets out of the bathroom, because if I come up the stairs as she’s leaving the bathroom, she’ll jump.

That’s what I’m worried about! The minor momentary amusement probably isn’t worth whatever punishment I’ll receive down the road.

I dont think she would like me. I would take full advantage of that. Often.

I used to date an incredibly gullible girl. She would also jump whenever I would spray the windshield while driving. I would do it often too.
